What are some of the influences outside of Congress that may determine whether a bill becomes law?

PARTICIPATION IN THE DISCUSSION BOARD IS MANDATORY. For this week’s discussion, consider the readings for Chapter 11 (Congress). Please integrate your readings with your OWN opinion for the discussion. In addition to answering my question, please respond to at least two (2) of your classmates. Thus, I expect everyone to submit at least three (3) entries in the Discussion Board for full credit. You have until Saturday, to submit your entries. After this day/time, this assignment will NOT be available in BlackBoard, so please participate early and complete it on time. PLEASE NOTE: Do not wait until the last minute to post your entries. In order to receive full credit you must enter all your postings by Saturday. Posts submitted after Saturday will NOT be considered for credit, no exceptions! In addition, make sure you write a significant entry. Short answers, such as “I agree with you”, or “I agree because it is true”: are unacceptable! Also, please note that you must post before you will be able to see your classmates’ responses. QUESTION: What are some of the influences outside of Congress that may determine whether a bill becomes law? For example, what might be the role of the media, interest groups, public opinion, or the executive branch?
