| Welcome to the Week 2 discussion board! I have a few questions to get us started this week. 1. Choose a favorite sensory detail from one of this week’s required readings. Tell us the title and author and then include the quotation. Next, explain to us what the image is describing and why you think it’s a successful image. How does it contribute to the piece as a whole? What stood out to you about your chosen piece as particularly interesting or noteworthy? 2. I’d like you to closely observe some element of your surroundings. It could be, for example, a hawk soaring through the sky, a cashier bagging groceries, a woman riding the bus, a steak sizzling on the grill, or fresh baked bread rising in the oven. Next, I want you to describe what you observe using sensory details. The idea is to show us what you’re observing through the use of descriptive language and not simply tell us. Your description should be 100+ words.
