The Samaritan man showed compassion that was uncommon in his day, especially toward people from another culture. How do culture or language differences often shape our response to those in need? How did Christ command us to interact with others, regardless of the obvious differences that tend to divide people? What are the implications for trade, business negotiation, and ministry? Review 2 Samuel 12 and focus on communication in delicate situations. Review the account of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37, and consider the role of grace in bridging cultural conflict. |
