| State your own personal attitude, belief, and value about the First Amendment and how it relates to campus free speech policies. Compose two well-developed paragraphs about the topic. Your first paragraph covers research you have found on the topic; your second paragraph covers your opinion of this topic. Each paragraph should have 7-10 sentences using complete sentences + college level composition (no misspelled words, correct grammar, correct punctuation, and correct capitalization). Note: You must cite one source for this post. You may use MLA or APA style citations. Address these questions in your research and in your opinion: How does the First Amendment apply to campus speech? Describe your 1)attitude, 2) beliefs, and 3) values that shape your view of the First Amendment related to campus speech. Give examples of how the First Amendment affects your life either on campus or in other areas of your life. (Be sure to read page 22-24 to address this first requirement.) At the end of your first post, ask one question that you want your group members to answer. This should be a “scale” (see page 43) question dealing with a First Amendment issue. For example: “Flag burning should be outlawed: ____strongly agree; ____ agree ; ____undecided ; ____disagree ; ____strongly disagree.” Then ask that your group members tell why they responded in the way they did.
