| Read Matthew 6. Examine just a few of the interactions Jesus had with those around him. In the Maxwell Leadership Bible, please also read the study note on page 1235: Compassion: Love for People Moves Jesus to Lead. Discuss how Jesus exercised leadership over others. Despite not having a formal title, government position, or even a church organization supporting Him, Jesus was the most influential leader the world has (and will have) even seen. What can we learn from Jesus’ approach to others, regardless of culture or heritage that should shape our own leadership effectiveness? Consider what Jesus teaches about communication in Matthew 12:33-37. Review what Matthew 5:43-48 says about how we are to respond to others, despite what often divides us. |
