I will also include the Proposal rough draft. I will need to consider all of these when creating the final paper. I’m afraid your proposal seeks to boil the ocean. You simply can’t address a topic as broad as you have outlined. There are hundreds of books on various aspects of this topic. And at points you seem to be discussing Trait Theory (which has largely been debunked) and in other areas Situational Leadership. But many books have already been written on Situational Leadership (and I am friends with some of the authors, so you need to be a bit careful about your sources). You need to narrow the scope. Please re-submit an outline that is more focused. What kinds of organizational contexts are you concerned with? What specific questions of leadership methods and practices will you evaluate? How will you relate these to Biblical practices. You can come up with a good project, but right now your ideas are all over the place. This is the feed back from the second proposal I have marked this proposal as “complete,” but I still have concern about your thesis statement and the focus of the project. You reference “educational settings” in your proposal. But it is not explicitly clear whether your focus is on leadership practices in educational settings. I think you need to rework the first paragraph to contain a clear thesis statement. For instance: “Leadership in educational settings has often been marked by a, b and c, leading to x, y and z outcomes. Servant Leadership models offer a path to correct these pervasive problems. This paper will explore the dynamics of leadership in educational institutions today and explore how Servant Leadership theory and practice could be applied to build healthier and more productive educational organizations.” Something like that, with real data on current practices and clear elaboration of how structures, incentives/rewards, and management style could change, could be a solid project.
