Part Two: Preparing for the Interview Preparing for an interview is a key step to making sure that you are a competitive candidate for the job you are interested in. Before attending an interview, you should spend significant time learning about the company/organization, the individuals who will be conducting your interview, and thinking about the questions that you will ask about the job in your interview. Students will be researching the company/organization listed on the job opening they selected in Part One. Students should respond to the following questions in a typed, 2-3 page double-spaced paper. Provide a description of the company/organization to which you are applying. Include information about specific products/services they offer, the area they serve (local, state, national, international, etc.), etc. It should be clear from this description that you have spent some time researching the website of the organization/business to which you are applying. (3 paragraphs) How does this organization/business’s mission statement align with your career goals and personal interests? (2 paragraphs) If you were granted an interview for this position, what 3 questions would you ask your interviewers?
