This paper represents a synthesis of specific concepts and practices covered in the course. The content must be organized according to the following major sections, with additional subheadings as needed: Delphi Method, Scenario Writing/Planning, and Biblical Perspective. Detailed expectations for each section are described below: Section 1: Delphi Method Describe the Delphi Method, including its strengths and weaknesses, empirical research on its effectiveness (including key suggestions for its successful use), and a brief description of a specific organization has used the method. Section 2: Scenario Writing/Planning Describe Scenario Writing/Planning, including its strengths and weaknesses, empirical research on its effectiveness (including key suggestions for its successful use), and a brief description of how a specific organization has used the method. Section 3: Biblical Perspective In this section, articulate a Biblical worldview on decision-making. Compare and contrast Biblical and secular perspectives on forecasting. Although your emphasis should be on forecasting events within a strategic and/or business context, your comments should touch on subtopics of: God’s sovereignty over events and time; worry and anxiety for the future; and, ethical decision-making. In addressing this section, please share specific examples from Scripture and culture (such as from politics, media, sports, and so on). The paper must contain at least 8 pages of narrative content, not including title page, abstract, references, exhibits, appendices and so on. The paper must be supported specifically and substantively by at least seven sources, three of which must be from peer-reviewed publications. The paper must be formatted according to APA Guidelines. |
